Sir Keir Starmer will push partner nations to provide Ukraine with more advanced missile systems to hit Russian targets during a meeting in Britain on this Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", consisting of numerous of Ukraine's allies who have committed to grant Ukraine security guarantees once fighting stops is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been urging for weeks for further extended-range systems from allied countries, an action that Russia has warned would worsen the war.

President Zelensky is journeying from Belgium, where he held talks with European Union officials on the previous day seeking funding aid.

"The only person involved in current hostilities who refuses to stop the fighting is the Russian leader," Sir Keir said.

Sir Keir will press participants to ramp up the delivery of extended-range systems following an effective attack on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, Russia, using Britain-delivered advanced weaponry.

"And his depraved attacks on innocent children in a nursery in recent days make that abundantly clear," he stated further.

A pair of children were included in no fewer than seven killed in multiple enemy assaults on Ukraine, which hit a daycare center in the major urban center the eastern city.

Financial Discussions

The Prime Minister will consult partner nations on how to withdraw Moscow's energy exports out of worldwide commerce.

Delegates will also discuss using seized Moscow funds to offer Kyiv with financial loans, although the initiative experienced a lack of political consensus and legal hurdles at the EU conference on the previous day.

European nations opted against agreeing to a proposal to use up to €140bn in frozen Russian assets to economically support the Ukrainian economy.

Nevertheless, the leaders decided to assist with Ukraine's "economic requirements" for the upcoming biennium.

America also announced sanctions on Wednesday against Russia's major petroleum firms, the state-owned company and the private firm, as part of efforts to increase monetary leverage on Moscow to enter peace talks.

Moscow began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It currently holds about one-fifth of the country's land, comprising the Crimean peninsula Moscow annexed in 2014.
