I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
